The main focus seemed to be on listening to what the child thought ... ( Yes , I know , not very helpful , but these courses never were ! )
My elder grandson has worked it out for himself thus ; His mother gave birth to him and he'll grow up , have adventures and then when she gets old , he'll look after her till she dies . Then it's her turn to be the baby , grow up , have adventures etc. Till it's his turn again .SmitoniusAndSonatahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11210817141287881808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-75101427126143722362015-05-01T16:42:14.715+01:002015-05-01T16:42:14.715+01:00I love your last sentence - it sums up everything ...I love your last sentence - it sums up everything about later life, I think.sensibiliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08715737628925538412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-50733089157363241962015-04-28T00:05:12.414+01:002015-04-28T00:05:12.414+01:00Such serious conversations you are having. And he may not be asking because he is worried about anything.....

What a treasure it is to have grandparents who live nearby and with whom one can spend so much time. Normal to think about and ask such things, and too often the visible discomfort of adults can start creating discomfort and taboos and secret worries from an early age. If I was in your position and subject to his current obsession with road-signs, I'd be rather glad he has deeper interests too :-)Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08690685768980280402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-91916117639560805422015-04-27T08:33:09.421+01:002015-04-27T08:33:09.421+01:00With my own small boys I believe that having short...With my own small boys I believe that having short-lived pets (especially goldfish) helped them to see that death is part of life. Plants dying and seeds sprouting in the garden helped, too. I'm sure the scones helped a lot.Relatively Retiringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648407316162715318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-57333730487226731162015-04-27T07:29:08.417+01:002015-04-27T07:29:08.417+01:00Hope for the best....yes that is all we can do.......Hope for the best....yes that is all we can do........and if those scones were cheese then I am very jealous.libbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05552884005601003691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-61254413886983039342015-04-27T06:40:52.480+01:002015-04-27T06:40:52.480+01:00Dr Neill has a lovely garden, for sure!
