We spent all summer telling him to wait to eat them until they were very blue. That autumn, I said something similar to my son about the lovely yellow and red and brown leaves and how soon they would fall off the trees. His response was, "When they turn blue, can we eat them?" One of my favorite memories of his childhood!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-74734452281171693932013-11-15T14:35:19.839+00:002013-11-15T14:35:19.839+00:00That's just delightful, the development of lan...That's just delightful, the development of language and logic a miracle every time :-)Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08690685768980280402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-28069742558105566012013-11-15T13:38:00.319+00:002013-11-15T13:38:00.319+00:00Make the most of the sitting, smiling baby....she&...Make the most of the sitting, smiling baby....she'll be up and off in no time and, as Gillie says, in the opposite direction.Relatively Retiringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648407316162715318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-47571615235989992972013-11-15T10:39:44.163+00:002013-11-15T10:39:44.163+00:00Can't argue with small boy logic, can you? Can't argue with small boy logic, can you?Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04461697058136548513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-69752554307995094032013-11-15T01:05:46.777+00:002013-11-15T01:05:46.777+00:00Not to mention when GD is up and running and in a ...Not to mention when GD is up and running and in a completely different direction to her brother....Gilliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13039155678428883554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-61735553966830525822013-11-15T00:22:37.158+00:002013-11-15T00:22:37.158+00:00Such interesting conversations you and he have. We're too jaded to consider that maybe the redness predisposes traffic lights to fall down since when leaves turn red they fall down. You'd want to be up early in the morning and taking your vitamins regularly to keep up with Grandson.mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03797484583400519909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-89633409011166707962013-11-15T00:19:33.852+00:002013-11-15T00:19:33.852+00:00when she was little, i used to drill Auntia on wha...when she was little, i used to drill Auntia on what the traffic lights meant - till she told me that yellow lights are for "go FAST!" ... don't know where she learned THAT little bit of information - couldn't have been from ME!!!diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01292769087215827768noreply@blogger.com
