At 89, my grandmother still lived in her own house and it was not easy for her - yet she refused to leave her home, which I could understand completely. Unfortunately, her house was full of stairs, so living there was quite dangerous for her. It broke my heart to see her leave her home and go to a nursing home, which she hated with fervor.
