And when I went to the drycleaners the other day, to get cleaned my nice silk jacket over which a friend sloshed white wine the other night, I was amazed at all the shirts brought in for laundering. No one does it at home any more - all taken straight up to the drycleaners. It must chew up a lot of disposable income.
Grandson is very sweet and growing at a rate of knots.
Love of gardening might skip a generation - it seems to have done this with all my children. This is one of the regrettable mysteries of life.persiflagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05161607100227748374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-45171822476305306062011-09-05T04:13:46.503+01:002011-09-05T04:13:46.503+01:00You're hysterical Isabelle! That comment about the pain made me laugh out loud!

I LOVE the picture of grandson and his mother in the garden. You can just tell how much she adores him!

And oooohhhh, can I answer the question behind door/comment #1? You know, with the answer about a wedding???Thimbleannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03650582809426872051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-48200534210276025612011-09-04T21:35:02.723+01:002011-09-04T21:35:02.723+01:00What a sweet little peanut your grandson is!What a sweet little peanut your grandson is!mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03797484583400519909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-40894738346497045632011-09-04T16:21:48.541+01:002011-09-04T16:21:48.541+01:00Retirement produces it's own weird timescale -...Retirement produces it's own weird timescale - I used to iron a week's worth of school and work shirts and not think twice about it, but all the casual clothes seem to be out of proportion with the days between wash loads. The same mystery applies to the amount of crockery going in and out of the dishwasher and how often you run out of eggs and bread!Janehttp://jeeandme.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-51801731492164319562011-09-04T16:02:18.773+01:002011-09-04T16:02:18.773+01:00You can tell Sirus doesn't have to do any iron...You can tell Sirus doesn't have to do any ironing, that's for sure.Fran Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07935088780461825341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-84809798700468275462011-09-04T14:26:36.792+01:002011-09-04T14:26:36.792+01:00Never mind the ironing, what I want to know is wha...Never mind the ironing, what I want to know is what is on your personal curriculum for the autumn?the veg artisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04029588460808570133noreply@blogger.com
