In the U.S. we have corn gluten meal to go on lawns... fertilizes as well as prevents weeds from germinating - wonderful stuff! Completely not toxic to humans and pets. I always worry about little paws being burned by the usual weed and feeds, never mind their ingesting it when grooming. Pelletized chicken manure is a great fertilizer too. For weeds in pathways, vinegar works as well as boiling water or just pulling them out when they are good and wet after a soaking rain. There... done my tree hugging bit for Mother Earth today. :-)Ann Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15425151742060266097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-51600349597261577572009-05-08T12:03:00.000+01:002009-05-08T12:03:00.000+01:00your family sounds so lovely!your family sounds so lovely!Tillybudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06412855969559000490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23379328.post-45470895001350471872009-05-06T15:58:00.000+01:002009-05-06T15:58:00.000+01:00Your weekend was clearly more interesting than min...Your weekend was clearly more interesting than mine - your 19 comments to my none! <br />Well, our Topsy is a contrary cat in more ways than one, it seems.
