A week after the wedding

It was only a week ago. It seems much more. They're having a lovely honeymoon. Which is good. But we do miss her. Mr Life was very reluctant to give her away. I felt the same. Still, she was happy.

  1. It's easier to measure the speed at which life passes by what happens to the people around us, not ourselves....I bet that it wasn't long ago that little girl was starting school, and now she is married.

  2. sigh ... she's a lovely bride, but i don't know how Mr. Life got through it - i was so against the "giving" that my daughter had her two children walk her down the aisle

  3. It's Mr. Life! Looking very dapper -- but. Where is his kilt??? It's a beautiful picture. I've often wondered about our wedding traditions -- it seems the opposite sex parent gets all the attention, i.e., the Father of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom. Seems a little unfair, although, I suppose us mothers of boys should have some compensation for not having a girl. You know the old saying -- you didn't lose a daughter, you gained a son!

  4. She looks absolutely lovely, graceful and happy, which is just how it should be. Of course you miss her, and Mr Life looks as though he does too - just something in his expression there.
