Mum: "I can't have been in hospital for four weeks because I was in London yesterday."

ReplyDeleteThat's so funny... in an episode of one of my all-time favorite Brit series "Rosemary & Thyme" they talk about "Beatabuse"... same drug! Never heard of either of those over here in the US.
ReplyDeleteAwww, that last comment makes me so sad. My mom's timeline isn't as extreme but she says similar things. She thinks she drove yesterday and it's been well over a month. Love those sweet little curls!

ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a "funny wee world" and I guess the only way to deal with it is to remember that and marvel over it.
Ken gets so mad at people who have thousands of dollars of treatment for smoking related illnesses, then continue to smoke. When he was being admitted for his bypass surgery, he saw a man outside the hospital, in his gown, attached to a drip machine, and smoking. Ken asked his doctor about what he'd seen and the doc. sighed and said "that man is having a lung transplant today." OMG, the mind boggles.
