We have been away: here - Durham...
... and here - Sandringham, one of the Queen's little places. (We visit Sandringham about every two years and I always slightly wonder if perhaps I
ought to have made more effort to get Prince Charles to marry me. Just for the gardens, you know. Not the official visits or the posh frocks.)
And now we're back. You know that way when you come into a lovely tidy house and dump your holiday things and all of a sudden it's a bit of a mess? With no food in the fridge? So I'd better go and do something about it.
Yes. Still working that one out myself tonight. The returning home issue, not the marrying Prince Charles one. Though I do still wonder about my chances with Michael Wood...
ReplyDeleteTravelling is great......but it's always good to come home again!
ReplyDeleteDurham looks such a lovely city.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you and yours. I have been AWOL from my blog for a while but now it is time to catch up!
So that's where you were! What a lovely trip; you do have some wonderful places in the U.K. to visit.
ReplyDeleteI just bought two old postcards of Sandringham. In honour of your visit I will post them on Friday!
