I've decided to stop calling our decluttering "death cleaning" - a bit depressing. It's now Minimalising Monday; though if Mondays are too busy it can actually happen on another day. This Monday we took my mother's crystal bowl to a charity shop. It's been in our house since my lovely mum died in 2012, and I've never used it. I have several crystal bowls that I do use, and this one, because it's shallow, takes up a lot of space.
And we took Mr L's old bike to a bike place where they refurbish them for good causes - youth groups and so on.
We've also arranged for a charity to come and collect the books we're getting rid of. They're coming on May 5, so we need to tackle the books in the other rooms before then. I love a deadline. And Mr L is decluttering his old cameras.
On Saturday we went on a lovely walk with the gang round Gosford House in East Lothian.
The weather was perfect.
Reflections.
Six miles, including walking along to the golf clubhouse for coffee overlooking the sea.
And then home on the bus.
My little cercis chinensis is looking good, with its tulip entourage.
Yesterday I was up town and admired the view from the bus stop.
And look at these frilly tulips in the garden! So pink. Lovely spring.
I adore those tulips! They are a beautiful color. Your walk looks idyllic. 6 miles, wow! I do about 2.5 most days. I like your change of name for the cleaning; it sounds like you're making a lot of progress.

ReplyDeleteWith minimalizing we are always doing books as Used Book sales are a big money spinner for charities here.
Our trouble is we have a big house so it is easy to have stuff we don't need/ use. We are still storing adult sons things!
Your crystal bowl looks like one I donated to my local thrift shop. They have a table I call the crystal shrine that is full of all the crystal no one wants anymore. That is a darling corner of your garden.

Joking aside, I do admire your sticktoitiveness or whatever it’s called — I’m too weak for cleaning. Hopefully things will change and I’ll get with the program before the end. Just in case, I plan to leave the kids some extra money so they can just hire someone to come in and throw it all out. 😳

I'll admit I was skeptical when I first Googled recovery options and found fundsretriever(at)proton•me, WhatsApp +16035–121–448, Telegram: Fundsretriever. But they proved me wrong. I sent over my transaction IDs, chat logs, and screenshots as requested. Their team uncovered how the platform had artificially inflated balances right before freezing everything. They packaged the evidence professionally and escalated it to the right contacts. The platform had no defense and released all my funds, principal and profits. When that money finally cleared, I became a believer.
