And so life gallops on. Minimalising Monday last week featured some scarves. Once upon a time, I wore smart(ish) coats with scarves supplying a touch of brightness at the neck. Now, not really. So they went.
The garden blooms away. I do love it.
I've done a bit to Mr Life's shirt quilt - here are some piano key borders. I do like making them.
Ah, these Shasta daisies are very pretty, though give them an inch and they take an acre. Not that we have an acre.
I love this shrubby clematis. It blooms for months.
Yesterday we drove up north to visit Son and family. Here he is (the children were also there) on a bike... don't know what you'd call it. A skate park, but for bikes.
We went back to their house, where the grandchildren brought out their quilts to lie on and for various other activities. Medium Granddaughter is rolled up in hers. Small Grandson is using his for the roof of a den made out of sofa cushions. My mum's sofa cushions, in fact. I wish she could have met the children.

And this week's offering to the gods of minimalisation. Very nice cups and saucers - which haven't been used for years. They've gone to the charity shop and the cupboard is less full. (Still quite full, mind you.)
I love that they use your quilts and have your mum's sofa cushions. I wish my dad (and mom) could have lived to know all of their great-grandsons but it wasn't to be. Both daughters talk about their grandparents to their children, so that's good. It looks like a fun day! Your clematis is beautiful. I'm very fond of purple. (as well as orange) LOL

Yes. It does need to be pumped out sometimes, though. This is Scotland!

I had a bit of a panic with that first picture when I saw the words Minimalising Monday — I thought you were minimalising fabric - the horror! 😂 I love that the grandchildren use your quilts — it’s so satisfying (a phrase our 6 yr old granddaughter is saying about most everything these days) to see them being loved. And I said a big Awwww when you wished your mother could have met your grandchildren — I think that all the time about my father — especially today when his 5th great-grandchild, and first boy of that generation, has just been born. Hope it’s cooled off a little over there! 😘
