After a week of dull and damp weather, today was sunny and mild and so we got stuck into the garden. Mr L cut one of the hedges (hurray for him) while I cut the grass and did some weeding.
My pots of pansies are looking good. No doubt the slugs are stretching, yawning and making their way towards them as I write.
Luckily slugs don't eat polyanthus.
Spring flowers - so bright and cheering.
Cassie Cat always likes company so she came to help.
She also likes sunshine.
She didn't do much weeding, though.
Perhaps you haven't trained her to weed?
ReplyDeleteYour pots are so pretty, especially that first one, brimming over with violas.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Cassie Cat adapting to being a single cat and looking well in the sun.
LOVE your garden - and have a huge weakness for black moggies. Both of ours are rescue cats, and both black. One is also black-hearted. And both 'help' in the garden. Snorting fertiliser (crack cocaine for cats).
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of the Fluff. She looks quite big in that last picture of her surveying her territory but she's actually dwarfed by the daffodils next to her.
ReplyDeleteOh Isabelle! It's looking SO beautiful! It's nice to see such pretty green -- everything is still dingy and brown here. The daffodils are peeking up through the dirt though, so it won't be long. Can snails make it up into that pot? Isn't there some sort of snail proof rim that could be used? ;-D
ReplyDeleteYour garden is so delightful! I don't believe I've ever seen a primrose that light blue color and now I wish I could find one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous garden and display of beautiful flowers. I am envious, making do with my pocket handerchief garden. Yours looks quite large, and very very full.
ReplyDeleteNo no, it's small, alas. I would love a bigger garden and have dreams of one. However, is this a sensible dream for a nearly-64-year-old...?
ReplyDeleteLovely images Isabelle, isn't Spring marvellous?
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely colours in your garden. I did a spot of tidying/weeding in ours yesterday and discovered one of our cats has developed an unfortunate, erm, toileting habit......
