Fun with short people

On Monday, suffering from grandchild-withdrawal-symptoms, I kidnapped the Edinburgh pair and we went to Jump In, a trampoline (etc) centre, where they had a jolly time.

Like this.

Then we came back to our house for the rest of the day and the night. They played with Brio.

Eldest Granddaughter took a break to draw a picture. It's of a bedside table with: a lamp, a cheese sandwich, a book and a cup of tea. What more could anyone want, really? And on the other side, a sleeping bag with matching pillow.

The tables were part of the layout.

As I sat watching them, I noticed the one Christmas item that failed to get put away with the other Christmas decorations several days before. There's always something, isn't there? No prizes for the first correct answer, I'm afraid.

  1. It's good to spend as much time as possible with the grandchildren while they are these wonderful ages! Your granddaughter-the-eldest is quite an interesting artist.

  2. I guess it was too soft and comfortable so you pretended not to see it?

  3. I see the Xmas decoration! Trampolines are surprisingly difficult, although they provide good exercise. Love that drawing, although I would replace the tea with coffee. I only liked tea when I was pregnant, very odd.

  4. I'm catching up to you again! What a lovely bit of news, and to see all your activities. Congratulations on the imminent arrival of a second grandSON! What fun you will have! Your quilt is beautiful - I LOVE the colors! At 10 quilts, you are now considered competent. Why not try a bit of applique on your next quilt? I made one that was a simple pieced body, but with an applique border around the edge. Now I am making one with applique in the center panel.... maybe I should start working on that. All the pieced blocks are done; I had just set it aside until I was in the mood to do the center. It wounds like a good January project, doesn't it? Blessings!
