Lilacs and blue glass.

Had a bit of a rubbish day at work - nothing to do with the students, all to do with management - but here's a cheering picture of a vase of lilacs in my sitting room. They smell like heaven. I also like the blue glass lumps on the table, though they could do with being arranged more symmetrically.

  2. Your garden is gorgeous Isabelle! If I had a garden like that I don't think I'd want to go to work either. My garden is an intensely ignored breeding ground for weeds. We rent our house so I can't see the point in making someone else's place look good. But I have an obsession with potted native Australian plants and gerberas. My boyfriend just laughs when he comes home to find another pot squeezed onto the patio!

  3. Thank you! It's actually rather small - but cherished. And this week it's been very wet, which is why those wonderful sunny mornings are so precious. It's all very well for those who live in a reliably sunny climate... I love pot plants too - that's another story.

  4. Isabelle, I am truly stunned by the beauty in your spring garden. I live in a rather coldish part of Australia and it has been known to snow but my daffodils and tulips love it so!

Your lilac is stunning and I just wish mine was this beautiful. It was a joy to see all your photos and I will be back for more!

I am sure I can smell them all the way down under! in australia.....just wonderful.
