Scenes from our Saturday

Sirius where he possibly deserves to be.

Cassie with her adoring slave.

Kittens helping with washing.

One new sofa as I like to see it.

Other new sofa. Can you see a kitten?

Such fun to play with the new sofas! See the kitten just about to have a nice scratch!

Hide and seek - such a good game. (Taken through a doorway, hence the funny-shaped photo.)

A nice trailing cloth and exciting flexes underneath this table.
On Monday night, we're going to have to take all this furniture out of the room again because the painter's coming on Tuesday. Ah, it's my planning ability that makes this household run like clockwork.

  1. I love the photos! And I now have a case of sofa envy too. Just think how boring life would be without those kittens, Isabelle! Hahahaha...... says the woman who will probably have to get kittens too on eof these days...

  7. Those kittens look like trouble! We got two about 18 months ago, and they are only just calming down to a state of mild chaos...

    (yours are very cute though!)

  8. Lovely photos. Like the new sofas. The kittens are the finishing touch - you'll have to make sure your son realises they are yours.

  9. Big, bold, paint - spattered kittens ....

Demented slave tearing hair out (his own, not big, bold felines)...

Intrepid photographer, risking life and limb, to chronicle the maturation of Scotlands next Pretenders to the Throne ...

I look forward to the pictorial representations.

  10. Such a marvelous family you have, kittens and all. What would we do without a bit of furry chaos?

  11. It was very thoughtful to reward your little helpers with such a nice scratching pole, I mean sofa...

  13. Love your sofas! Just as well you took these photos while they still look new...sorry to be a pessimist, but after 30 years experience of kittens...I just want to warn you - LOL!

  14. I just showed Ken your kitties and he wanted to know where you are. When I told him, he said to tell you his (paternal) grandfather came from Ardrossan. So I've told you...duh.

  15. Aww, your kitties are wonderful. Your pictures make me rethink our decision not to have pets. Your new sofa is quite nice too.

  16. Your kitties are growing fast and they're even more adorable. I remember when our new sofa arrived and how we planned to look after it, well our two cats had other ideas and very quickly made it their own. Cat hairs and claw marks soon made them feel at home!

  17. You are cracking me up -- just like a new mum with her first child (zillions of pics!). They sure are growing quickly!

  18. I'm sure the kittens think it was so nice of you and the other servants to provide them with new pretty climbing/scratching apparatus. My cats get very frustrated with my failure to serve when I put the special string away in a box and they can't play with their rightful toy (i.e.: they can't get at my pricey knitting wool).
