The flock

This is Sirius trying to look innocent. You would never guess that he'd just been drinking out of that bowl. I hope orchids aren't poisonous.

The second reindeer rises from Daughter 2's advent calendar. (Bloggy friends with good memories may remember the similar penguins from last year.)

These were rather deliciously in the parcel labelled 2. Mr Life and I ate them.

Our present to her was not so tasty.

In a day of presents, Daughter 1 gave us a packet of slot-together penguins. I think we need to move them before the arrival of Grandson tomorrow. He would unslot them.

We enjoyed visiting Daughter 1, Son-in-Law 1 and Grandson today but then - sorry to complain -  Daughter 2 went back to London. Is it better to have loved and lost etc? It's a moot point sometimes.

  1. I am on my way home later today, and it is hard to leave here, and especially my sister. I do understand the sense of sadness. I really do.

  2. Grandson will obviously have a fine career as an unslotter!
How lovely to have an Advent calendar.

  4. You're so funny. How could you question the wisdom of Tennyson? What fun your Advent tradition has become. I'm looking forward to seeing the parade of little gifties -- as they're surely provide inspiration for stocking stuffers for the kids this year. I always run out of ideas!

We collect penguins (don't ask!) and I'd love to know where I could buy the slot-together ones.
