I feel a rainbow-ish quilt in the offing. Thanks to my lovely friend Thimbleanna, I have enough orange and some purple, but I think I need to buy a little more purple. Even with all this on the bed, the stash cupboard is still full. But there's no purple. I did claim I would never buy any more fabric but... what can a person do?
I might have a little purple. Want me to send it over on Friday?
ReplyDeleteOoh, yes please!
DeleteI thought of you and your grandson when I saw this now on Fb. The photo looked wonderful. Grandson would love it, and you two would love the bookshop!
ReplyDelete'If you’re ever in Alnwick, Northumberland and you’re a fan of books and model trains, there a place called Barter Books with a massive selection of titles, a cafe / buffet that used to be a waiting room, and a model railway chugging around above the shelves.
It’s situated inside the old Victorian station building (the Alnwick branch closed in 1968), and it’s called ‘Barter Books’ because loads of people just take their old books there and exchange them for others. It’s even been described as ‘the British Library of second-hand bookshops.’
Oh yes, we know it well. It's great - but dangerous! So many books! Thank you, though.
DeleteIt looks like your friend will supply you with the purple. Rainbows are so happy!
ReplyDeleteA rainbow quilt would be so cheerful!
