The staff

"That little rockery has never really worked," I said to Mr Life yesterday.

And hey presto, he swung into action.

I did the washing, hung it out and brought it in again. Cassie helped.

She stuck loyally to her post even when there was nothing left in the basket but some socks.

Such helpful family members. What would I do without them?

  4. I swear cats think we bring in the clean washing just to make a lovely bed for them.

  5. That's a very comfortable basket you bought - just for your cats!

  8. Love the rockery. Ours is exceedingly overgrown. What to come state-side and clear it out? Although I must state that Tino does not help. Not even a supervisory glare when I clean out an overgrown hunting ground. I admit it, I bore him. My only reason for life is to scratch him. And find the door into summer that does not have rain.

  9. Mr VA is immune to hints of the gardening or house maintenance type, so I'm quite envious!
My cat, Rupert, used to love to jump over the lead when I was ironing, like a skipping rope. Just once each session, but every time. I can't iron without missing him.

  10. The upgraded rockery looks much better! Darling kitties, what would we do without their silent support at difficult times? While I've been in bed with the flu, our cats have taken turns to jump up on the bed and gaze at me for a few moments, as if to make sure I'm going to survive. I have.
