Cosy cat

Look, you lot, stop all this unseemly talk of jugs. Jane Austen would be ashamed of you.

I don't have time to do a post (marking, class preparation, mother, etc) but here's a picture of Cassie catlet. She discovered the other evening that, now it's autumn, Daughter 2's nightly routine is to put on her electric blanket, take her pyjamas from under her pillow and go to have a bath.

Leaving the bed turned down just enough to allow a little cat to slip in.

  1. There is something irresistible cats about a turned down bed---the possibility of a dark, cosy place to burrow into, or with any luck, a game of hide and seek, or, if you wiggle way down to the foot of the bed and stay really still until some unsuspecting toes come down to join you....

I'll be displaying my jugs by and by...It's a higgeldy-piggeldy collection, and has to be tamed and brought under control for a photograph....

  2. ...of course I meant "to" cats. It's late, and I'm tired, and a little crosseyed.....OK?

  3. Love that little Cassie catlet!
I only had one respectable jug, so I posted teapots instead!
I just have to be a rebel.

  4. Lovely photo of Cassie. Our cat is not allowed in the bedrooms at all. Husband is allergic and I still shudder at the memory of waking up to our former cat (Catface) treading blissfully on my shoulders and drooling into my face. Blech!

  6. Mmmmm... how cozy under that warm blanket. Our cat sill come up on the bed for a bit, but jumps off as soon as we move our feet.

Isabelle, you've really started something. Soon there will be bumper stickers that say "Show Me Your Jugs!" hee, hee

  8. I think perhaps you're misinterpreting Cassie's love for daughter's bed. Could she perhaps be hiding under the covers from embarrassment -- her Mum's got all of blogland bearing their jugs! You know how the young are, they blush at the mere mention of such things!

  9. Cats and beds - don't they just love them??
My cat loves it when I make the bed - all that throwing round the duvet and flicking up the sheets. Thinks its a great game. Must be a very tiring one though because he retires to the bed for the day the minute it is made.

  10. Gorgeous Cassie! It's full scale war in the bedroom at the moment as the two cats fight for poll position under the duvet in this house!! Looking forward to seeing your jugs!
