Keeping breathing

You know that feeling when you just wish life would pass you by from time to time? I would quite like to sit in a mindless heap for a while, with all my near and dear ones pootling gently around the place and all problems whizzing past the top of my head. You know, just for a couple of days.

No major disasters (I hope). But it's all a bit exhausting.

  2. I don't feel too much like that this week, but once I go back to school, I won't know what's hit me. That's the problem with teaching - all on, all off. No in betweens!

  5. Deep breathing and a large cup of tea might help. Failing those...a tot of Malt whisky highly beneficial.

  6. Yes, indeed. Sometimes it all gets too much, and it is hard to decide to get out of bed in the morning.
But here it is, Good Friday, and I sit here at the computer, listening to the Verdi Requiem, gathering strength to go and do something or other.
It is a day for gathering strength to endure.

  7. Oh yes. Me too. I'd like to sit in that heap with you, even for a few hours, and sing some kind of la-la-la-la-la-la song and not have to drive anywhere for anything. Hmmm. Dreams.

  8. Ruh-Roh. Sounds like all the very exciting events of 2011 plus some are heaping up on you. I hope you get a few breathing moments Isabelle. At least the weather should be improving!

  13. Don't wish too hard for that, Isabelle. My friend Helen (who had a stroke) and my hubby both said to me today they wish they could go back to the way they were, even with all their former problems. They do not like sitting in a mindless heap while their loved ones deal with the day to day routines and dramas.
Thank you again for continuing to post encouraging comments on my blog. {{{hugs}}} and keep your chin up :-)

  14. I am in that place, too. Spring is springing here, and I would so much rather sit in my garden with a chilled glass of iced tea than go to work.
