Watching the news this morning, I was struck by the way those devastated coastal valleys, now strewn with matchsticks, look so much like the tree lined valleys of the Devon and Cornish coast. Little fishing towns like Dartmouth, Falmouth or Looe. They must have been beautiful places to live in, before the tsunami. So sad.
Oh, Japan! Words fail; but like everyone else I feel so much for people involved in the terrible catastrophe there.
Indeed. Hard to imagine how they can recover from this.
