This is what we did this morning.
We went to Stockbridge and...
had coffee.
Then we walked along here...
... and into the Botanic Gardens.
By contrast, this is what we did 38 years ago today. (The furry stuff is feathers, not fur, by the way. The dress and muff were borrowed from the daughter of my mother's chiropodist.)
Where does the time go?
Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures....you look beautiful. Happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteAh, someone else who got married at a busy time of year. Happy Anniversary my special friends in Edinburgh. ( I really only know 4 people there )I will be able to remember that ours is 2 days before Christmas and yours is 2 days after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love that because it was Winter( I presume ) you had lovely fur trim on your dress. Haven't fashions changed...now all the brides are in shoulderless dresses( which always looks scary to me in case the dress slips ) I love your long curly hair in those days...I could hardly pick that it was you 2 in those pics - but most of us look a bit different, now. R much more so that me in our photos.
I hope your Mum and little gran son are doing well.
Happy anniversary! My hubby & I hope to make it to our 60th, though we're not yet halfway to our 38th. I admire couples who commit to spend a lifetime together and succeed in accomplishing that goal. Many congrats, many happy returns, and (hopefully) many more grand babies in your future!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both.
ReplyDeleteThe little grandson is fine, Ali Honey (and Mum). He's had his supper and is now sweetly asleep in his travel cot, dreaming baby dreams.
ReplyDeletebest wishes and many more years together!

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you and Mr Life - and many more to come.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and a belated Happy Christmas too. I really enjoyed the Advent calendar too, so thanks for sharing. It was nice to see a photo of you and Mr Life in your wedding finery.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Isabel, how young you and your husband looked. Thirty-eight years sounds like a long time, but I'll bet to you it has flown.
ReplyDeleteYour son looks just like his Dad!
Time just flies when you're in the best company, doesn't it? Congratulations and many happy returns!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Isabelle! Husband and I will hit our 20th or 25th anniversary next year (depending on how you look at it) and I noticed that one of your pictures is of the very street where Husband was living when I first got to know him back in 1985. Small world and it does indeed move very fast.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...see what happens when I miss a day on your blog? I missed your anniversay! Belated congratulations, and best wishes for many more happy years together :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Isabel and Mr. Life! Your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Anniversary Isabelle! You and Mr. Life looks wonderful -- where indeed does the time go? Your anniversary was much more exciting that ours -- I painted my mother's kitchen while TheManoftheHouse provided moral support. So, thank you for celebrating for us LOL!
