Boots

Daughter 1 and Son-in-Law 1 bought Grandson his first pair of wellington boots, with the thought that he could walk in the snow or splash in the puddles. He likes them a lot.

He does bring joy into one's weary heart.

All these 'firsts' are special, aren't they? He looks chuffed to bits in his wellies. I'm glad to hear your family is pro-splashing. So many stop the kids from doing it, and it's just part of the fun of being a kid. I still really want to do it when I pass big puddles, but no doubt one of my pupils would catch me on camera and I'd be on Youtube in a jiffy as Mrs Puddle.

Grandchildren are so magical. He is such a beautiful child, -if one is allowed to say a boychild is beautiful.

Boyhood is definitely beautiful (says the mother of two sons). How cute is grandson?! Enjoy him, Isabelle, these moments go by in a flash, as you well know.

My boys used to call their boots their "stompy boots" because they could stomp in puddles while wearing them!

Has he puddle-tested them yet? You know----to see how high a splash he can make!

They do, indeed. But I am sure you bring joy to his heart, too. My aim is to be as good a grandmother as my own "Nana" was.

Your grandson can definitely be called beautiful! It is good to see him looking rosy cheeked and well again.

Welly boots and puddles are better fun than any expensive plastic toys........

Today is the due date for our Britboy son, his Lovely Natalie and our Little Brit grandson, who will soon be four, as well as being a big brother! Every time the phone rings I jump....They didn't want to know ahead of time so we'll find out "girl or boy" the old fashioned way!
